Pharmaceutical conglomerate RAMM Pharma Corp. acquires HemPoland

HemPoland is a company founded in 2014 by Maciej Kowalski. The company's CannabiGold brand, which produces dietary supplements, quickly gained recognition and a place as a market leader. After a few years, the company was valued at PLN 110 million, which to this day remains the largest transaction related to the Polish hemp market. HemPoland was bought by Canadian company Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd. You can read about it T U T A J.

"RAMM Pharma is a leader in the research and development of pharmaceutical cannabinoid formulations. The company developed Epifractán™, the first registered pharmaceutical cannabinoid drug in Latin America. RAMM Pharma has since expanded its range of formulations and products, including approved and registered products that are sold commercially. It also has a number of new products in various stages of approval and development."

HemPoland shares from The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd. RAMM Pharma acquired for the sum of 1.2 million Canadian dollars, or about 4 million zlotys.

I asked Maciej Kowalski, founder of HemPoland and current owner of the Hemp Combine, for comment :

"Fully openly, unfortunately, I can't comment due to confidentiality obligations - while it's not a big surprise, because the fact that HemPoland is up for sale was known for many months. The amount may indeed shock, although we will never know the whole truth - the same with the "hundred million", of which we realistically saw "only" a quarter... I'm more interested than the story in what happens next. I hope that the new owner will stop the wave of layoffs that has hit the staff in recent weeks. At the end of the day, however, one must be aware that these are all transactions between investment bankers who are as trustworthy as politicians."
