Indica vs Sativa - differences in effect and appearance

The difference in effects between indica and sativa and the Sativa cannabinoid content gives a stimulating, energetic high. It mainly works on the mind, gives you a buzz, stimulates you to action which makes it great for daytime. Sativas contain a lot of stimulating THC and not much CBD. Indica relaxes and makes the body feel heavy. A strong Indica can knock you out and put you in a chair. After a good Indica, you will not do too much so it is best for evening relaxation and sleep. Indica's not only contain a lot of THC they also contain a lot more CBD than Sativas - hence the heavier, more narcotic effect. Sativa Indica Ruderalis Difference in Appearance and Growth Sativas are tall, with narrow, long leaves that are light green in color and grow 2-3 times taller (indoor up to 1.5-2m, outdoor up to 3-4m) than Indicas. Their branches have considerable spacing between them. Sativa tops are long, lighter and less hardy than Indicas. Sativa's flower for about 9-14 weeks, sometimes even longer. They come from regions in Asia like Thailand or Cambodia and North America like Mexico. Fortunately many pure Sativas have been adapted to colder climates making them resistant to European weather conditions and shortening the flowering time so everyone can enjoy a Sativa. Cannabis plant - Sativa Indica's are short (50-100cm indoor, about 1.5m outdoor). They have broad, dark green leaves and lots of branches set close together. Their tops are hard, dense and heavy but shorter than the Sativas. Indica cannabis strains usually flower in 7-8 weeks and are more suitable for indoor use. Indica originates from the mountainous areas of India, Afghanistan and Pakistan. They produce a large, sticky resin full of THC in response to the harsh climate. Indica Cannabis Plant Medical Use Sativa has a positive effect on people suffering from depression and behavioural disorders like ADHD. Sativa is also used for people suffering from anorexia and various forms of cancer because it stimulates the appetite, although this is not a rule, some Indica's are also great for appetite stimulation. Indica is used as an analgesic and sleeping aid. It also reduces muscle spasms and nausea. It is used in diseases such as fibro-myalgia, lupus and multiple sclerosis. Sativa/indica crosses (hybrids). Cannabis strains can be crossed with each other, resulting in hybrids that contain the genes of two or more strains, both sativa and indica so they have a mixed effect both physically and mentally and a wider medical use.
