The court issued a verdict in the case of a police officer expelled from service for possession of marijuana for medical purposes

This is what we wrote about the case a few days ago:

"Mr. Kamil served for eight years in the prevention division of the Polish police. When some health problems arose in his life, the officer decided to take medical treatment. Not wanting to risk the side effects of certain medications, he decided to treat himself with marijuana.

Unfortunately, the now ex-police officer decided that he would hide his cannabis therapy from the world and treated himself with dried marijuana from an illegal source. As he explains, he feared that he would be dismissed from the service when information about the medical marijuana therapy he had undertaken reached his superiors."

When the case came to light, and 27 grams of marijuana were found in Mr. Kamil's possession, he was expelled from service and heard criminal charges. He was charged with possession of 27 grams of non-fiber cannabis and possession of cultivation equipment.
