New strains of medical cannabis from Spectrum Therapeutics will arrive late, officials to blame

New strains of medical cannabis from Spectrum Therapeutics will arrive in Poland late, and officials are to blame. We reported that the new strains from Spectrum would reach Polish pharmacies in the second half of March. Everything pointed to the fact that the drought in pharmacies would appear in the second half of April - which was also evident from the dates given in the documents. Unfortunately, the tardiness of officials has resulted in the fact that the shipment of drought to Poland has not arrived although it is waiting ready for shipment from Germany. So when will the new varieties reach our pharmacies? Here's more information.

New varieties of medical cannabis from Spectrum Therapeutics will arrive in Poland late

We wrote about two new medical cannabis strains from Spectrum Therapeutics (Canopy Growth) arriving in our pharmacies in the second half of March T U T A J.

Here's what new products are about to hit our market:

  1. Cannabis flos, Canopy Growth THC 20%, CBD ≤ 0.5%
  2. THC content: 20% +/-10%
  3. CBD content: less than or equal to 0.5%
  4. Characteristics: indica
  1. Cannabis flos, Canopy Growth THC 8%, CBD 7%
  2. THC content: 8% +/-10%
  3. CBD content: 7% +/-10%
  4. Characteristics: hybrid

Unfortunately, it will come for a while yet. The reason is the sluggishness of officials from the Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate. When the imported batch of product is checked, and the documents match - the GIF gives permission for the batch of dried product to enter the country.

Unfortunately, despite the fulfillment of all procedures on the part of the manufacturer - the GIF did not issue a timely permit to bring the raw material into the country, the so-called "import permit." This means that in order for the dried product to reach Poland, documents and a request for transport approval must be resubmitted. This involves extending the original deadline by at least a month. If officials do their job as expected, it can be expected in the second half of May.

It's a shame that those who could change this state of affairs - prefer to make politics on hemp to the detriment of patients. If hemp pests of the likes of MP Beata Maciejewska didn't duplicate for their own benefit the nonsense about Polish crops being the only way to improve availability - such situations would probably not occur. The current shortage of new droughts would have been avoidable if officials had done their jobs properly. Pharmacy shortages would also not have been avoided if the incredibly complicated procedures for importing consecutive batches of the drug had been changed - what is needed here is not a change in the law, but a change in several regulations and officials doing their jobs properly.
